As many of you know, I will be having my operation on 13th June to fix an epigastric hernia that has decided to make its home in my chest cavity! I have been told that I will be out of action for 4 – 8 weeks after my operation. Now, normally, I wouldn’t mind that, but these past 18 months have seen me really step up my game with regard to eating well and training, and I am probably in the best shape of my life! So, having 4 – 8 weeks of not doing any training at all, isn’t going to help my waistline. Therefore, after quite a bit of research, I have decided to buy myself a treadmill! My plan is to train weights Mon, Weds & Fri and train on treadmill Tues, Thurs & Sat. taking Sunday off. However, after my operation, I will be doing treadmill only for 4 – 8 weeks, 6 days a week for 30 minutes a time, just to keep the weight off. I will make sure that I am eating in a calorie deficit, so that I don’t put weight on because of my food intake, and that should see me right until the middle to end of August when I will be doing a combination of weight training and treadmill work outs. I now thoroughly enjoy working out but am going to be spending quite a bit of time away from it and want to make sure that I keep up my general weight loss. My plan is, initially, to get under 100kg which will get me down from 16st 1.5lb to 15st 10lb. Once there, I intend to take my weight down to at least 95kg which will get me down to 15st. That is my ultimate goal, for now, but I do want to see just how low I can safely get. I expect it will be around the 14st – 14st 7lb mark. Who knows right? With my cycling to work and back, a round trip of 6 miles, I should be well on my way to my ideal weight in next to no time! So, my bargain £80 treadmill is all set up in the outhouse and I can’t wait to get started!!
As always, I’ll keep you posted!
