Just a very quick post tonight. We went out for a lovely meal tonight with some good friends who, incidentally, share the same Christian names as us, which can get a bit confusing for other people. We took Bob Dog along with us and he was very well behaved! The landlady at the pub knows him, so he always gets a cooked sausage whenever we go there! The pub was pretty busy tonight which was lovely because, more than ever, these businesses need people to use them otherwise they are likely to be lost forever! Tonight was one of those nights where we felt like we could have stayed until closing time as it was such a good atmosphere in the pub. All the dining tables were full and they had a great little lone singer / guitarist there who had a pretty good voice and did a lot of covers that not many people do. Things like Walking On The Moon by The Police was one in particular that went down well with the crowd. Food was very reasonably priced and, after a quick walk home in the pitch dark, we had a quick cup of tea before retiring to bed (Rachel). I stayed up to write this but will have to go to bed shortly as we have to be up early to go to Birmingham tomorrow to see Rachel’s elderly aunt, possibly for the last time.
