I have mentioned on here before about all the jigsaw puzzles that I have done over the past 4 decades, and I honestly thought that I had given up doing them for good! However, for some strange reason, I suddenly have the compulsion to do another one involving boats or yachts! Don’t ask me why, I have never been particularly fond of either but feel the need to do one! So, that’s that! I have had a look on line and have found a decent one going cheap so have decided to purchase it and take it from there. I don’t know whether it’s nostalgia or some kind of wish to go back to days of yesteryear but I do tend to prefer the classic picture puzzles as opposed to the new sort. You know the sort: imagine the front cover of any Ladybird book from the 1970’s and you’ll get the picture, literally. Old steam trains, puffing their way through the British countryside with children waving, an old village scene with a Morris Minor in a repair garage, with a lady cycling past. That kind of thing. I know it’s stupid and a little bit kooky but, it keeps me happy and keeps the PTSD at bay and that can only be a good thing. Chimp in the box and all that.
