The Treadmill Pt. 2

Well. that didn’t go according to plan!

So, today, I decided to go on my treadmill for the first time. As it’s been a while since I last used one, I thought I would actually read the manual in order to see what all the different buttons and gizmo’s did. As the instruction book never came with it, I thought I would download one off the good ol’ tinterweb! After about an hour’s search, I finally found one, except that none of the pictures or instructions matched my machine. Although the model number was the same, it would appear that mine is an 02 model and, therefore, hard to find the manual for. I eventually gave up and decided to just go for broke and try pressing any buttons on the console that I could in order to see if it was possible to get the damn thing working. once again, after another 10 minutes or so, I managed to get the 30 minute, ‘Fat Burning’ option up and running and hopped on up! After about 5 minutes, my legs felt like they were on fire and the sweat was pouring off me! I couldn’t believe how out of shape I am when it comes to cardio!! I managed to keep going for the full half hour but think that my t-shirt weighed more when I got off than it did when I got on. The amount of sweat that I produced was unbelievable! I have decided that, in future, I will train with my t-shirt off (and the blinds drawn) in a vain attempt to stop me going through 6 t-shirts a week! Seriously, I don’t think I’ve even got 6 training t-shirts! I think that the treadmill is certainly going to be an asset and I hope that, by the time my operation comes around, I would have lost at least a stone. I would say, ‘Even if it kills me’ but, after today’s feeble effort, it may well do!!!
