In my previous post, ‘The Office Is Back To Normal’ I talked, briefly, about the fact that I was thinking about selling my Roland D70 synthesizer. Sadly, today is the day when that thought became a reality and it is now listed on the internet for sale! I have bought and sold around half a dozen of them over the past 5 or so years and absolutely love them to bits. The sampled sounds are really thick and rich and warm. D70’s are, for me, the perfect synth. I bought my current one about 3 years ago and had it serviced during the pandemic. It has had a new battery installed and has also had a good internal clean up! It really does look the business and I will be so sorry to see it go but it just isn’t getting played and I would like someone to buy it who would give it the love and treatment it truly deserves. Even when I was checking through all the sounds to make sure that it was in good order, I was thinking about changing my mind and keeping it! However, common sense prevailed and I have now listed it as being for sale on the good ‘ol internet. As I write, it has had 30 views and 9 people are watching it, so it should make for a good fight! I still have my digital piano to play, so I won’t be giving up my piano playing forever and I also have a lovely Fender bass guitar, sitting in a case, just waiting for me to start practicing away! So, goodbye my beloved D70, we had fun in the 90’s in our rock band and we have had many adventures since, but it is time to be the soundtrack to another life.
