After months of talking about it, Rachel and I decided to buy a greenhouse. It’s only a small, lean to one but it is big enough for what we need. It arrived on Friday in several large packages and I finally unboxed it all today. After reading through the instructions, I then started to set about building the thing. After 90 minutes, I had still not put a single thing together as I was struggling to work out what all the pieces were for!! The instructions were those horrible photocopied ones where everything is in varying shades of grey and very difficult to see. When you have lots of profiles on one piece, it is hard to see on the instructions exactly which way it is supposed to be facing. Eventually, it took me almost 5 hours to build the various parts, roof, windows, door etc. and, once built, I put them all into the shed until I get a dry day and can spend a bit of time putting the whole thing together properly. I still have all the pieces to assemble and I also have to put the glass in but, hopefully, now that all the framework is built, it shouldn’t take me too long! I say that with more than just my fingers crossed and, when I do eventually start to assemble the whole thing, I shall make sure I start early in the morning because, judging by today, it’s not going to be a quick job!
Just a quick update about another subject: My brother and I finally managed to get together and sort out mum’s fence panels, so she now has a secure and private garden once more!
