My wife has lived in the village we live in for the past 51 years! She was actually born in the bedroom that she sleeps in, which is no mean feat! I have only lived in the village for the past 4 years but, last week, we decided to do something monumental for the first time ever. . . . . . .we joined our local sports and social club! Now, like most sports and social clubs, it’s a bit like stepping back in time when you enter it, the décor is very 1960’s but in a lovely way. It’s like you get a warm, analogue hug every time you go in there and it’s fantastic! The joining fee is £10 a year, which isn’t bad in this day and age is it?!! They have live music on most weeks and the drinks are very cheap. It has a great family vibe and it truly is a unique place. We feel so very blessed to live in such a wonderful part of the world, and will look forward to helping out whenever we can with anything the club needs us to. Looking forward to making lots of new friends and generally having fun!!
